Are you ready for a two year journey? Starting in July 2026 I am going to begin a new video diary series where I will be sharing bonus material from each chapter in my book. I'll be diving into just one chapter each month and since there are 23 chapters in my book, I'll be making these videos for almost the next two years! Whewff! That's a lot of stories to share.

Video #5 is an unexpected video that I wasn't planning on making. I explain how I was inspired to create this video... in the video! In Chapter 1, I talk about where I grew up and I mention an area... not to far from my childhood home... where you can see the lights of Barrie and Toronto on the same horizon at night! In this video, I take you to this location! 

For fun, I'm sharing this 2023 autumn photo from the Mono Cliffs park

which is very close to the area where I grew up!

And for even more fun, this is a music video that we filmed at the Mono Cliffs

in the autumn of 2025. This is a song Devon created the music for on BandLab.

He created the music and the lyrics are based on a song

I had created way back in 2009.

For Devon's song, we rewrote a few of the lyrics...

added a few more to keep time with the music...

and soon a brand new song was born!

Wait! What's going on here? What happened to the bonus material videos for Chapters 2 and 3???

So... this video - #6 - was filmed just a few days ago at a downtown London, ON poetry reading event that I participated in. I shared stories about my history as an environmental activist and I read the poem "Canada: Glorious to Be" at the event. This poem was written during the time when I was detailing the art project with the same name. This art project is what took me to Nunavut!

I end Chapter 4 with this poem. I actually had no plans on creating a video for this poem... it just kinda happened... so I thought it would be fun to share the video of my reading this poem at this poetry event... and that's why this video is out of sequence!
