I decided to create this event in the library just a few blocks away from my home for several reasons. Since I live in this neighbourhood, it was easy to spread the word to friends and neighbours. Many years ago, I used to be a writer for the Byron Villager magazine, so I asked Barb if she would share the story about my book and share information about this event in the May issue. She said 'Yes!'

I was very pleased to see this story come out! Thanks, Barb!

Since I live in Byron, it was rather easy for me to walk from store to store asking owners if they'd support me by letting my put up fliers on their store window. Everyone said 'Yes!' So, thanks to all the Byron store owners! 

I used my event flier and several photos showing my flier in store windows to create another promotion that I shared on Facebook and Instagram!

AND... the Byron Library also helped me to promote this event by showcasing a copy of my book near the entrance door! Good thing - a few of the people who attended said that they came to the book launch because of this display!!! 

I'll be the first to admit that this was not the most filled room that day! Haha! Remember... it's not about the quantity of people... it's about the quality of people! And I was very happy that my parents and sister came out to support me!!!
